Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Proiproi ("proiproi", "we", "us") is a platform that helps hobbyists, independent creatives, and professionals post projects, recruit collaborators, and form communities. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the proiproi app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or otherwise using proiproi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that provider so we can create your proiproi account.

Profile information

Information you choose to add to your profile: display name, bio, skills, location (a city name, or a "Global" setting instead of a specific place), and an avatar image.

Content you create

Projects, role listings, applications, expressions of interest, invites, tasks, community posts, reports, and any images, files, or links you upload as part of using proiproi.

Location information

If you set a project pin, we store the coordinates you place. Location is never collected in the background — it is only what you explicitly enter or drop on the map.

Usage and device information

We automatically collect basic analytics (app opens, screen views, feature usage) and crash diagnostics to keep proiproi working and to understand which features are useful. A device push token is stored so we can deliver notifications you've opted into.

3. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account, and to display your profile and content to other users as intended by the app's features.
• To connect you with relevant projects, roles, communities, and collaborators.
• To send notifications you've enabled — applications, invites, task updates, and similar activity.
• To maintain the safety of the platform, including reviewing reports and enforcing our Terms of Service.
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and understand aggregate feature usage.
• To communicate with you about your account or material changes to our policies.

4. How information is shared

Proiproi is a public-by-default, project-first platform. That means:

• With other users — your profile, public projects, community posts, and applications are visible to other users as described in the app (e.g. anyone can view a public profile; only a project's creator/admins see who applied to it).
• With service providers — we share information with the infrastructure providers listed in §5 solely to operate the app. We do not sell your personal information.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of proiproi, our users, or the public.
• Domain-restricted communities — a community's admin may restrict its visibility to users sharing a specific email domain. This changes who can see the community, not what personal data is shared with anyone new.

5. Third-party services we rely on

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and only to the extent needed to provide its service to proiproi.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. Projects that receive no activity are automatically archived after 30 days and permanently deleted after 60 days, unless restored by the creator. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this removes your profile and personal data, subject to what we're required to retain for legal or security purposes.

7. Your rights and choices

• Access and correction — edit your profile at any time from within the app.
• Deletion — request account deletion from Settings, or by contacting us.
• Notifications — each notification type can be toggled off individually in Settings.
• Portability / access requests — depending on your location, you may have the right to request a copy of your data. Contact us to make a request.

8. Children's privacy

Proiproi is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

9. International data transfers

Proiproi is available globally, and the infrastructure we rely on (see §5) may process and store data in countries other than your own. By using proiproi, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in such countries.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including Firebase Authentication, server-side security rules, and Firebase App Check — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as proiproi evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
